Love this place... the food is always good

This place is a diamond in the rough. Don't worry if the parking lot looks busy, there is a lot of tables inside. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is laid out by day with some alacart choices. I ordered the fried chicken that was amazing. This is truly home cooked food that is wonderful. Our waitress kept an eye on us and made sure we had everything we needed. They did have soft serve ice cream that was included in the price. I can highly recommend this place. You will be very pleased with the price.

We went the other night for some good fried seafood. I had the shrimp and oysters, and she had fish and ordered some fried chicken to go. The servers and other staff were polite and pleasant. The food was all delicious, with the exception of the beets. They tasted like they might have been canned. I'll go again!

I love this place. Great prices. I love the Ricky's crinkle cut fries and the bbq sandwich. My husband and son love the fried pork chops. The only thing they need to add is fried squash and I would be there every day.

Home cooked meals are the best

Food was amazing. I had the BBQ Pork and it's probably some of the best I've had in a long time. Service was great and food was quick to be delivered. Their egg potato salad is very sweet, but very good as I enjoy sweet potato salad. Prices were very reasonable. Wish I lived closer to come back again.

Kim's Barbecue is great! We stopped for take-out and got a couple barbecue sandwiches to go. Barbecue was delicious and the hush puppies were very good too. Service was super fast even though it was crowded and very good prices. Will definitely keep this place in mind - not far from I-95, so good food stop if just passing through.

Best home cooking in Dunn NC.! Open Monday through Friday 11:00AM till 8:00PM. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

I’d crawl there on my hands and knees. There food,prices and service are all really good. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars. Is due to the fact there oysters have gotten really small. They have a broad menu of home cooking also. Thank U4 Reading David B.

This is one of the best places for a home cooked meal while away from home. Landmark for locals, it is definitely a place to stop for lunch or supper when in Dunn.

This is and all time favorite .. always consistently made food. Great environment.

I wish the daily specials had smaller serving sizes. Way too much food on plate to eat it all. Also would like the option to have what I have heard called a fish boat, that is a piece of fish and one vegetable. A small serving for a light meal. Food is served hot and fresh. Service is excellent.

I ordered the fried chicken but it was kind of over cooked! It was a little tough but still flavorful! I didn’t complain because the place was so busy! The waitress did a great job waiting her tables! The food is usually good especially the eastern NC style barbecue! The sides were good! Maybe they just need to cook the chicken a little less or get another person to cook it! With all that said, I would go back and also recommend them!PS. The McClure person who rated them 6 months ago that trashed the barbecue and sauce must be from the north and wouldn’t know good eastern NC style barbecue if it hit them in the face! Duh, eastern NC style barbecue sauce IS vinegar based with crushed red pepper and other spices in it! SMH!!!

If you are in Dunn during the day stop in and get the daily special. Whatever it is will be good. Don't fret about all the cars in the parking lot. There will be a place for you on the inside.

Friendly. accommodating; a very kind waitress named “Peggy” made us feel right at home. Catfish was tasty and flounder yummy. Southern fried chicken was delicious! Most definitely coming back! 👍

My first taste of North Carolina bbq and it was great. The slaw is fabulous and people kind and inviting.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Virginia. The service was absolutely wonderful and the food was fantastic!! We are so glad we made the stop to eat here. The best part was the prices are very reasonable!! Definitely stop in and grab a bite!
